The regional trade will open its doors, next Saturday, June 19, in the I Stock Fair of the Marina Alta which will take place in the Plaza de la Constitución in Xàbia. An appointment that has been postponed, since it was scheduled to be on June 5, but due to the forecast of rain, it has been decided to modify its day. A total of 61 establishments from different towns in the region will offer their seasonal products at this commercial event.
This initiative, which is expected to follow many more and serve as a starter for the rest of the towns, was promoted by the business associations of Xàbia with the collaboration of the Department of Economic Development.
The councilor responsible for the area, Marta Bañuls, has indicated that this event is a sale outlet for small businesses, "which due to the restrictions of the pandemic, seasonal products have remained in the warehouse." The mayor has highlighted that the fair has had a great reception, since of the total of registered businesses, 22 are from Xàbia.
The Stock Fair will start, with all security measures, at 10 am on Saturday June 19 and will close at 20 pm. Bañuls has indicated that the fair will follow the same security scheme and protocol as in the itinerant market on Thursdays with capacity control, a marked circuit to indicate the direction of the visit and the distance between the stalls.
For its part, the mayor, José Chulvi, has invited visitors to also come to other corners of Xàbia and enjoy the local hospitality.
