The hotel industry reopens its terraces

01 March 2021 - 10: 38

After more than a month of the closure of the hotel business, this Monday, bars and restaurants have been able to open their terraces, although the weather has not been ideal. With the start of the new de-escalation process, the Valencian Community hospitality industry has seen the light again, being able to open its doors and deal, moderately, with payments, although the opening comes with some restrictions.

At the beginning of this March 1, several bars and restaurants already had their tables set on the terraces and received the first customers. Both hoteliers and citizens have told this media that they appreciate this restriction relief, although they assure that it is not entirely sufficient.

The workers who drank coffee or lunch on these terraces pointed out that it is friendlier to be able to approach the bar at the time of rest.

For the moment, the slight relaxation of measures has been put in place and will continue until March 14. The activity of the hotel industry is established until 18:00 p.m. and is restricted to outdoor terraces with a maximum capacity of 75%. The occupation will be a maximum of four people for each table and the use of a mask will be mandatory when it is not being consumed.

Mercat Municipal

In the Municipal Market, the stalls for bar and cafeteria, such as La paradeta y the Coqueria, have a municipal authorization so that they can install tables and chairs in their reserved areas outside the market between March 1 and 14 and thus be able to serve customers.

This agreement was obtained after a meeting between the mayor delegate of markets and the president of the Mercat Association.
