The Ocenogràfic Foundation provides instructions on how to act in the presence of a sea turtle

August 16 from 2019 - 16: 09

In recent days, there have been several sea turtles that have appeared on our coast. From the Oceanogràfic Foundation they provide some indications of action if we find any specimen on the beach, near the shore or in a situation of danger.

First of all we must call 112 and follow the indications of the veterinarians of the Oceanogràfic València Foundation. During this time you have to prevent people from disturbing the turtle.

From the Foundation they point out that it is necessary to take into account that it is a wild animal, so it could harm without wanting to. In addition, they insist that it not be released into the sea since it may need veterinary treatment.

The Foundation points out that when calling 112, the Valencian Community Strand Network is activated and the Foundation's veterinarians will attend the site to recognize the animal and decide if it should be taken to the ARCA del Mar for better observation and recovery and then return it to the sea with all the guarantees.
