The Fira d'Artesania returns to the streets of Xàbia this Easter

07 2022 April - 14: 32

With the celebration of the Easter festival, one of its most traditional events, the Fira d'Artesania, returns to Xàbia. After three blank years, the oldest market in the region returns as the main entertainment of the Historic Center during Holy Week.

The fair will open on Good Friday, April 15, and will take place between Placeta del Convent –where all the gastronomic offer will be concentrated-, Calle Mayor and Plaza de Baix until Easter Monday, April 18.

A total of 65 craft stalls with the extra incentive of animation performances, with folk music, children's shows and workshops also for children.

Both from the Historical Xàbia trade association and the Councilor for Economic Development, Marta Bañuls, have shown their joy at recovering this deeply rooted market after three years without being held due to bad weather and the health crisis.

This will be the first large-scale event organized by the commercial group after the pandemic and they hope it will be a shock to the shops and hotels in the Historic Center and fill the streets with joy.

As a complement, the fair will include on Sunday the meeting of clubs and associations in the Plaza de la Iglesia in which this year the three quintades will participate, which will share the limelight in Sant Joan, the filà capitana of the Moors and Christians, penyas santjoaneras and other groups such as the Centro Artístico Musical, Amics de Thiviers, Rama or el Tapis.

El Soler Blasco Museum It will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 13 p.m. and the Municipal Market will also have special hours and will open on Easter days.
