The final of the virtual regattas of the Club Náutico Jávea will take place this weekend

A total of 20 sailors will contest the final of the Quarantine Cup, the virtual regatta championship organized by the Club Nautico de Javea during these weeks of confinement. The tests have been carried out through the platform Virtual Regatta during the weekends of March and the first of April. Thus, after the different tests, 18 have been the best classified, and another 2 come from tests organized by the sports management for the youngest sailors in the fleet.

As explained by the sports director of the Club Nautico de Javea, Javier Momparler, the 20 sailors must complete five races "In four different boats" what will allow "That there is no advantage between them in case they better control one or the other". The boats are Star, 49er, Day boat racer and Offshore racer.

The final regattas will be on April 9, 10, 11 and 12 and will have a technical committee that will be watching the regatta and will record it on video. In addition, apart from the live trial carried out by the program, an extra penalty may be imposed if unfair browsing is appreciated.

During the qualifying phases, 65 sailors from the Jávea Nautical Club, but also from El Campello, Calp or Alicante have participated. In fact, in the final there are three from Valencia, one from El Campello and one from Calp, the rest are from the Jávea Nautical Club.

Momparler recalled that the winners of this new regatta will receive their award and the tribute in the award ceremony of the Sailing Week that will be held during the last fortnight of August.
