The traditional Brotherhood Dinner of the Moors and Christians of Xàbia that took place last night, after the offering of flowers, included a novelty, the celebration of a paella contest among the rows. Starting from the same base of food courtesy of SUMA Supermarkets, each comparsa prepared its best version of the mythical dish of Valencian gastronomy, Paella.
The jury, made up of the president of the Festivities Board, Rubén Femenia, the Mora and Cristiana Flag Bearers and the Captains of the Filà Ballesters, decided that the filà Al-Tarik's was the winner of this first edition.
The winning filà mora had a total of 9 points and a prize of 300 euros. Second place went to filà Xibia which obtained 7 points and 200 euros, and third place was occupied by filà Faciners with 5 points and 100 euros.
