Last night took place in the port of Xàbia the presentation of the llibret with the programming of the Moors and Christians festivities, which will be held from the 13 to the 21 in July. The presentation was given by Rubén Femenia, President of the Board of Festes de Moros i Cristians, with the support of the Councilman Festival, Antonio Miragall, the flaggers Cristiana and Mora, Laura Torres and Lorena Ros, and the captain of the Filà Almoradins, Emilio Bañuls, which will enjoy the captaincy this year.
During the presentation, Rubén Femenia showed his gratitude to all the people who have participated in the preparation of the book, underlining the commitment to a more traditional cover than the one he chose during his vice-presidency in 2017, with the people and the Montgo background, the work of the artist Rens Van Adrighem. The concilor Antonio Miragall joined in the words of thanks, adding that the Moors and Christians Festival "They are a mirror of what happens in Xàbia in summer".
Among the appointments of this year's program, highlights the recovery of the morning entrance of the Captaincy. In addition, on this occasion the multi-adventure playground will be moved to Manuel Bordes Valls Street, where the President of the Board ensures that children can enjoy fun in a more shady environment to avoid the direct impact of the sun.
Moors and Christians Festival Program of Xàbia 2019
The party will begin on Saturday 13 July with pasacalle and wine of honor, after which will be held in the Jaime I walk, the 22: 00, the official presentation of the Festival of Moors and Christians, with the proclamation of Rafael Andarias, which will serve as a starting signal for 8 days of celebration, culture and tradition.
El Sunday 14 the youngest will enjoy the multi-adventure playground at Manuel Bordes Valls Street, and at night the XVII Concert of Music Festera will take place on Seville Street, in charge of the Music-Municipal Association Santa Maria Magdalena del Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
Night Monday neighbors can see the entrance in the Arenal Beachand the Tuesday made in the old town, ending the latter with the offering of flowers in the niche of Sant Jaume.
El Wednesday to the 20: 45 the offering of flowers will be made in the Parochial Church, in a journey that will begin in the Arcade Pio X.
The landing of the Moro Bando will take place on Thursday to the 21: 30, recreating the arrival of the Muslim troops and the battle that will lead to the surrender of the castle on the Paseo Jaime I. The battles will continue Friday, after the infantile entrance that will be realized that morning, where the Moorish Side and the Christian Side will fight again until the inevitable reconquest of the castle on the part of the last ones.
El Saturday, Xàbia will dress up to accompany in the morning to the Filà Capitana, festeros charges and Board of Festes in their tour of the kábilas and barracks of the municipality. And from the 19: 30 will start the Music Bands entry, followed by the expected gala parade. On Saturday he will be fired by the correfocs to stop the last day of Fiestas.
