The Festivities Commission of Sant Joan 2019 held, on Friday night, the information meeting to indicate all the fathers and mothers of the xabierets i xabieretes that will form the children's honor court, the rules and the deadlines to complete the process of preparations for the festivities next June.
Among the norms to be taken into account during the course of the parades, the Commission emphasized having maximum punctuality in the parades, not offering food during the tours, not accompanying the children in the parades since they will be attended by members of the Commission.
Regarding the dates to remember:
- 5 and 12 for February: Days for the test of the bands in the case of the girls in the Casal Foguerer, located in the Plaza de la Constitución, at the 19: 00 hours.
- 5 and 12 for February:Deadlines for payment of the fee that is 40 euros regardless of whether the child participates in the day of the float parade or not.
- February 19: Last day to deliver the photo of the xabieret or xabiereta for the holiday book.
- May 28: At the 19 hours, in the Casal de Fogueres, delivery of bands for the girls and of the pin of the vest for the children as well as their location in the float.
As for the formation of couples and organization of the float, if someone has a preference for your son or daughter to go with someone, you must first contact the Commission. Also, if for some reason, in the float you also want to create a group of children so that it is united in it, you must present a list indicating the name of the children. From the organization also stressed the possibility that the parents of children who will leave with the school float and not Fogueres indicate it in advance.
