This past Sunday, September 26, the regional vertical race championship took place in Novelda. Around 70 participants gathered in this test, among which was the athlete from the Llebeig Athletics Club of Xàbia, Sophie Mullins.
The race started at 9 in the morning from the top of La Serreta and the runners left every 30 seconds one by one until the top of the Sit. The participants completed a 13km route and 720m of positive elevation gain.
Among the best was the athlete from Xàbia, Sophie Mullins, who was proclaimed regional champion of vertical race in her Veteran category, stopping the clock on arrival at the finish line at 00:46:21. In addition, Mullins was 3rd in the general classification.
