The 24ª edition of the Xàbia International Festival will be from 27 to 29 in June

As every year, after the festivities of Fogueres de Sant Joan, kicks off the International Festival that this year celebrates its 24 edition. As in the last editions, the Festival will be located on the Via Augusta during the 27, 28 and 29 days in June.

The president of the Association, Raúl de Lope, announced that 20 will be the participating countries this year and the doors will be opened every day at 18 hours. De Lope said that, in this edition, Ireland and Russia will not be there, but Peru and Ecuador will return.

This year's novelty focuses on music, "On Friday 28 will be the night of the countries and at 23 hours the main stage will be closed to give way to the prominence of the countries, where each one will organize in his tent performances under the name of COUNTRY NIGHT", said Raúl De Lope.

The president of the Festival Association has added that "In principle it is a test for future editions. The idea is that each tent exposes its folklore and culture."

In turn, the councilman Festival, Tony Miragall, encouraged those responsible for the festival "to be brave in the changes" and welcomed Peru and the new address of Ecuador. Also, the mayor thanked all the representatives of the different countries for the work they do to carry out this event ".

Mayor, José ChulviHe thanked all the people who represent all the nationalities that are going to be part of the International Festival "since in three days there is a sample of the cultural variety that lives in Xàbia". Chulvi added that it is a model of coexistence "That makes us much better as a society and in the end those three days is a recognition of this diversity we have."

The first mayor has put in value the work of the Board of the Association, "There are always difficulties that must be overcome and I invite all the neighbors of the region to come to the festival since in these three days Xàbia is a small UN".

To present this event and welcome, the organization of the Festival will perform a first act on Sunday 23 with a parade with departure to the 11 hours from the Port with arrival at the Paseo del Tenista David Ferrer, Arenal Beach.
