Juan Ayuso, a professional cyclist from Xàbia, has shown in different media his gratitude for being part of the new UAE Team Emirates team together with the Tour de France champion since 2020, Tadej Pogacar.
The young man from Xàbia is one of the strong bets in what will be his first season in a team of such magnitude. According to the newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Ayuso has declared: «Training with Pogacar is a great experience, he is the best in the world and it is fortunate to run with him. It is a reference, I want to follow in his footsteps, you have to take advantage of it, learning from him is a luxury. When he listens to me he looks like himself a few years ago. It is on another level, but it is reflected and that is why we get along well, I am very grateful.
In this way, Ayuso commented on his impressions after the first training sessions with the Slovenian champion Pogacar that they carried out last Sunday on the Alicante coast.
Juan Ayuso was the best U23 rider in 2021, he won the Giro d'Italia and the European bronze en route. Soon, in 2022, it will be in the Vuelta a Valencia, the Vuelta a Andalucía and it will debut on the World Tour in the Volta a Catalunya, among other races and comxicotetions.
