Juan Ayuso junior Spanish champion in 2019 route

August 19 from 2019 - 19: 06

The xabiero cyclist, Juan Ayuso, has just won the Junior Spanish Championship on the 2019 route. The test was held in Asturian lands, with departure and arrival to the municipality of Pravia, with a total of 119 kilometers traveled. The xabiero has had to fight with other kids who pointed very high on the starting line.

The Xàbia has had special vigilance for cyclists such as Raúl García, champion of the Spanish Cup Junior Cofidis 2018 and Javi Serrano who before this event was presented as a winner in two junior national races.

The first important escape took a long time to arrive and was made up of Navarre Diego Uriarte, Andalusian Raúl Craviotto and Catalan Luis Vivian, who were neutralized in the first step by Cabruñana.

A climb to the most important level of the race, would break the race for a moment, marching ahead a group of some 25 units in which no favorite was missing. A little later, the main squad, with Euskadi at the helm, would be able to hunt down that dangerous cut, where Madrid was shooting. Around kilometer 70 there was an important attack with Extremadura Carrascosa, Galician Gomez and Madrid's Guzman trying to make room.

The platoon, headed for a large part of that race section by the Andalusian National Team, drove distances never exceeding one minute with the head trio. Cabruñana was once again the judge of the race and Carrascosa was only ahead after making a great climb, also accumulating a one-minute rent with respect to the platoon. The favorites did not wait any longer and jumped in pursuit of Extremadura who, once hunted by Ayuso, García, Tercero, Rodríguez and Arrieta, managed to endure with them.

There the race would be played, with selections like the Catalan or the Basque pulling behind, but without getting to disturb the six of the head, who would end up facing the last kilometer together to play the final sprint. The fastest was Juan Ayuso, able to take the last corner in the lead and sustain an important rhythm to beat Igor Arrieta and Raúl García, second and third respectively.

This title crowns him as one of the best cyclists of the future national panorama. And it is that Juan Ayuso has arrived in a splendid moment of form to this test. It is worth mentioning that on Saturday he was third junior in the time trial modality.

The winner in this modality was Carlos Rodríguez with a time of 19'43, followed by Igor Arrieta who made a time of 20'11, while Juan Ayuso made a mark of 20'18.
