The Council for Gender Equality and Policies, by Maite Roldán, announced last Saturday, March 16, at the end of the conference Women and Culture Marina Gilabert, the name of the winner and winner of the contest.
The photograph titled Invision by Víctor Torres Ribes in which the image of a young woman's face resting on an urban wall appears was chosen by the jury as the winner. The composition and color, but above all the power of a look that can convey different messages depending on the emotional state of the person looking at it, was what decided the members of the jury formed by: Elisa Torres Pastor, graduate in Fine Arts and visual artist, José Ramón Hernández Melero, photographer and Marisa Pascual, president of the Association of Housewives.
The second prize went to local photographer Magdalena Resko, with Colorful life. This photograph represents the portrait of a woman's face painted in bright colors. The prize for the winning work was 200 euros and for the second prize of 100 euros.
Councilor Maite Roldán has indicated that "Fotodona consolidates year after year and this edition has validated the participation of professional and amateur photographers from different corners of Spain. The objective is to present a personal vision of March's 8, International Women's Day, through images. The originality of the works presented has made the decision of the jury difficult. We hope that the neighbors enjoy them in the exhibition at the Municipal Market. "
