Solidarity magnets 'Made in Xàbia' for Osteogenesis Imperfecta

13 2022 April - 15: 07

Help research on Osteogenesis Imperfecta. This is the goal that Laura Goberna, a resident of Xàbia, mother of Olaya, an almost 6-year-old girl who suffers from this rare disease commonly known as 'crystal bones', has set for herself.

Laura wants to contribute her grain of sand to the AHUCE Foundation, an entity that is dedicated to promoting and financing research on Osteogenesis Imperfecta and that has given her so much help and support during all these years. To this end, on the occasion of World Osteogenesis Imperfecta Day, on May 6, Goberna has launched a solidarity campaign to raise funds for research into this rare and currently incurable pathology. And it is that, in general, rare diseases receive very little aid for research.

Olaya's mother has taken the initiative to make solidarity magnets for the fridge for the symbolic price of 5 euros. Once the sale of these magnets is finished, Laura will deliver all the proceeds to the AHUCE Foundation (www.fundacionahuce.org).

Goberna calls on citizens and asks for their collaboration to help learn more about Osteogenesis Imperfecta and to obtain new advances on this rare disease.

Those interested in collaborating and wanting to purchase their solidarity magnet to support this initiative can contact us by calling 626 593 875 or by calling 643 636 214.
