Hospital Clínica Benidorm (HCB) renews its carbon footprint reduction certificate to contribute to the care of the environment. HCB has achieved the objective of reducing its plastic consumption by three tons by installing reusable biosanitary waste containers, which was carried out a year ago and allowing the plastic to be recycled for reuse.
Hospital Clínica Benidorm has managed to avoid the emission of six tons of CO² into the atmosphere thanks to the implementation of a waste segregation system (biosanitary type III) more innovative and environmentally friendly. This has been confirmed by the international certification company Bureau Veritas, which has issued a renewal of the carbon footprint reduction certificate through the external company that manages this waste at HCB. In this way HCB has stopped sending 9 m³ of plastic to the landfill.
Within the environmental awareness project that is being carried out at Benidorm Clinic Hospital for all staff, another series of measures as important as the responsible use of paper and its correct recycling, and the use of water and energy are being implemented internally. All this with the slogan "Caring for the environment belongs to everyone".
