About the 20: 30 hours in the afternoon on Friday there has been a traffic accident on Avenida Juan Carlos I in Xàbia. A woman crossing the street with her dog has been run over by a vehicle that was traveling towards the town from the port. The event has occurred in a low visibility area due to the lack of lighting of the avenue as there are several streetlights that do not work.
According to the witnesses of the accident, the driver's statements when getting out of the car is that he had not seen her. The seriousness of this accident has caused traffic to be cut off the entire avenue. Local Police of Xàbia and health services who are attending the victim have come to the scene.
