Great personalities of literature and history will meet at the 'V Encontres a Beniarbeig 2018'

As of January's 18, Beniarbeig will celebrate the V edition of the Encontres a Beniarbeig 2018. A meeting in which personalities such as the writer Joan Francesc Mira, the historian Antoni Furió and the Slovene philologist Simona Skrabec will participate.

The mayor of Beniarbeig, Vicente Cebolla, presented last week these days, already consolidated in the region of the Marina Alta, on history and literature. The poetry of Joan Valls, the study A Borrowed Homeland. Fragility Readings of the Slovenian philologist and the presentation on translations by Mira, are some of the acts that make up the program of this meeting.

Some conferences that will take place in the Beniarbeig Library at the 19: 30 hours, except for the 19 in April and 10 in May, which will be at the 20: 00 hours.

Conferences

- January 18: This cycle of conferences begins with the poetry of Joan Valls under the title Bailes in Valls by Jordi Botella and The Musical Society Nova d'Alcoi.
- 8 February: Slovenian philologist Simona Skrabec returns to Beniarbeig to present her study A borrowed homeland. Fragility readings. A presentation that will give continuity to Skrabek's previous paper on the vertebration of Europe through cultural production.
-Winners will be announced in March: Joan Francesc Mira will offer the presentation The trade and responsibility of the translator from my translations, an interesting approach by the architect of the celebrated translations into Catalan of fundamental works such as The Odyssey or The Divine Comedy.

- April 19: The Mallorcan historian Antoni Riera will debut in the meetings with the communication Aspects of food in medieval and modern times.
- May 10: The professor of the University of Alicante, Carmen Alemany will expose Cuban poetry after the Revolution.
