A large representation of athletes from the Club Atletisme Llebeig de Xàbia participated yesterday Saturday, October 2, in the 8th Triatló Illa de Formentera obtaining very good results. Almost 400 runners between the Olympic and Sprint categories performed the three segments of the test, with three athletes from Xàbia who occupied first places and took the well-deserved trophy.
First, Irene BoluferIn the Sprint category (750 meters swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 kilometers running), she managed to finish 2nd overall, stopping the clock on arrival at the finish line in 1: 17.32. Bolufer did the swimming segment in 14:01, the 20 km cycling in 36:34 and the 5 km of running in 23:41.
For its part, in the Sub 23 Sprint category, Carmen Bolufer was the first to enter the finish line with a time of 1: 21.21. Carmen climbed to the top of the podium after completing a time of 15:10 in swimming, 37:51 in bicycle and 24:35 in running.
The same triumph was taken by José Palacio in the Sub-23 Sprint, the one in first place with a total time of 1: 17.48 after completing the swimming test in 14:05, the bike in 35:07 and the race in 25: 48.
