28 July 2014 - 03: 04

Last Saturday, June 26, one of the events already consolidated in Xàbia, the XVIII edition of Living Chess, was celebrated in the port of Jávea. This year the novelty of introducing music as the main element had all the spectators wanting to witness the representation that bore the name "From slavery to Elvis (It's only rock and roll)."

The event was presented by Irene Wittwer after introducing the Living Chess, claimed the presence of Vicent Ferrer, the narrator of the story, Javier Steven Sánchez, player of white and Consuelo Femenía, the javiense graduated guest of honor who handled the cards black. Representation began with a parent (Vicent Ferrer) listening to music from his son and tells him that's just noise, it feels and will tell the history of rock and roll.

White's side appeared on the stage, decorated with cotton fields, representing the American blacks who "created" the first songs that were really screams of a life in slavery and servitude. These songs derived in the blues, genre from which rock drinks enormously. Black's side, on the other hand, represented those who opposed the changes and demands of young people.

During the time of representation children who embodied the pieces on both sides they danced endlessly on board the different songs that were played. In addition, the public spent some time the most fun and entertaining, thanks in part to the soundtrack of representation that came loaded with issues repassed the history of rock and roll in all its aspects. The script was the work of Álvaro Monfort through an idea originates from María Buigues Ros, both members of the Festival Commission Mare de Déu de Loreto, main organizer of the event.

As you should know, it is like an essay never acting and much less the end in which all artists are nervous.
The representation was fun children worked great and very successful music. The proof of this is that there was a power failure that lasted about 15 minutes and the public waited until resolved.
For my part, I congratulate everyone for the great work they do every year.

I attended the function on Friday (must have been the essay) my grandchildren 4, 5 and 7 asked me to go home because it was superaburrido. I hope that the role of Saturday was more dynamic and more were tested, otherwise do not understand the headline of this article.
