The municipalities of Xàbia and El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will have, this summer, mixed patrols with the aim of increasing citizen security and promoting international cooperation in both municipalities.
The agents, French gendarmes and German police, will give support to the Civil Guard to inform, give assistance to tourists of French and German nationality and collaborate in investigations related to citizens of that country.
This action is part of the Secure Tourism Plan, which offers better service to holiday makers of both towns with important colonies of French and German residents. The lieutenant of the Civil Guard of Xàbia and El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Javier Soliveres, has informed that, within the Plan of Safe Tourism, the number of agents in the whole province of Alicante has increased to transmit a sensation of greater security between those who enjoy their vacations.
This cooperation between the Civil Guard and the international security forces will help to promote more if possible the quality of police attention to the foreign population of tourism in both locations.
