When is celebrated
The big day is January 17, the day of San Antonio Abad. But the festivities last several days before and several days after this date. In 2024, the festivities are celebrated from Friday, January 12 to February 4.

Transfer and Cremà del Pi
One of the traditional acts of these festivities is the Cremà del Pi. This appointment is usually held either on the Saturday before Saint Anthony's Day (if it falls at the beginning of the week) or on the following Saturday if the name day is after Wednesday.
La Cremà takes place late at night in the car park on Calle San Antonio and is usually accompanied by brass band music. This is an act promoted mainly by the Equestrian Center of Xàbia the Tiraset.
The celebration of this event entails the performance of another act, the transfer of the pine, an activity that takes place in the morning. The transfer of this pine is a symbolic act, because the structure that actually burns is usually already installed and prepared.
