From September 18 to October 24, the Latin Photography Festival in the Mediterranean Red eyes performs its second edition in Xàbia.

Photographer Pep Aparisi presents 'BAI WEN'; a sample containing small format photographs, deliberately aged, which attempt to evoke happy moments and other memories found in the
silence from their usual walks.

Aparisi portrays small objects that seek to individualize his photographic prints so that the viewer can not only observe them, but also think and reflect on their images.

Pep Aparisi uses photography to capture representations that evoke memories, and experiments with different printing surfaces, staining, handling different techniques and combining them to show us that each impression is part of a larger reality.

The themes that he proposes include natures, objects, animals, terrestrial or seascapes, and encourage viewers to rescue their own memories and their own emotions in the face of simple and suggestive individual boxes.

These photographs, which fit in the palm of the hand or in the pocket of the jacket, are mainly objects that we can touch and manipulate. Pep Aparisi likes the idea that his images give the impression of being anonymous photographs found in a market or an antique store, that they have the charm and the mystery that merges the past and the present, the reality and the memory.

When you see the exhibition, you can also recreate your look in two artist's books and ten folders edited for the occasion. The exhibition consists of 52 photographs of different sizes in black painted wooden frames, and four collages in black aluminum frames, all protected with matte glass.

The exhibition will be open from September 18 to October 20 at the Isabel Bilbao Gallery and visiting hours during the exhibition period will be from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 20:30 p.m. . Sunday closed
