The Latin Photography Festival in the Mediterranean RED EYES presents from September 18 to October 24, the exhibition of the photographer Juan Manuel Díaz Burgos entitled Beach stories | Tropic of Cancer which will be located in the Casa del Cable.
The author shows in this collection, a clear vocation for humanistic, documentary and essay photography. His work has been exhibited in many countries and in what refers to Beach stories it is possibly the first personal project of the author.
The photographs are taken on the beach in Rota, Cádiz, during the summers from 1988 to 1992. A critical and ironic vision of a popular space, where life is breathed.
Moreover, Tropic of Cancer It is a project developed in the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Haiti, for four years. A conceptual interpretation where the author interprets some of the sociocultural aspects of these lands.
