On Saturday, July 27, at 22.30:1996 p.m., the XXIII Living Chess of Xàbia will take place, an event organized since XNUMX by the Mare de Déu de Loreto Festival Commission with the collaboration of the Town hall and that this year it will also have the help of La Caixa Foundation. It will be the 23rd edition of the cultural event that received the National Tourist Interest Festival award in 2002.

It will be represented A family of musicians, quatre monstres i a putxero, written by Raquel Violero and Héctor Cruañes, who will also direct the stage direction together with Loreto García and Ana Cruañes as assistant directors. José Erades will be responsible for the general coordination and the management Rafael Andarias Esteuan, director of Living Chess.

In this edition, a fantasy story will be staged, whose underlying theme is the importance of culture and traditions. It will be developed in Spanish and Valencian in a language easily understood by the spectators.

More than a hundred collaborators, including musicians, singers, dancers and extras, in addition to the forty students who will play the role of pieces of the game will participate in this occasion. The Xàbia Symphony Orchestra will participate under the baton of Joan Bou, the Salomé Rodríguez Dance Studio, which will include the participation of the dancer Naim El Meslouhi and members of the Teatre Jove de Xàbia Workshop.

The performance will be held on the avenue of Lepanto where stands will be installed to accommodate almost a thousand spectators. Admission will be free and free until full capacity is reached.
