Around the 11 hours of Friday, the CICU received the warning of an emergency in the Arenal Beach. An 75 year old man suffered symptoms of drowning. The man had been taken out of the water and was unconscious. Local police officers, while arriving the SAMU toilets have tried to revive him.
Upon the arrival of SAMU, the medical team practiced advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers but the 75-year-old man did not respond, he had died.
Apparently, as indicated by the doctor of the SAMU, the man has suffered a heart attack while swimming in the sea. Official sources have indicated that the victim had a heart failure device.
