On November 5, and within the activities in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of the arrival of Joaquín Sorolla to Xàbia, the Casa del Cable will host the opening of the photographic exhibition Sorolla in his paradise. The inauguration will be at 19:16 p.m. and will be available to the public until January XNUMX.
This exhibition, provided by the Joaquín Sorolla Foundation, is the painter's photographic album. It will show a part of the painter and his moments in Xàbia. The corners that he sighted and thus what was his priceless vision of the evolution of the gallery portrait of the recent years of photography.
The exhibition will have a special nod to the municipality since a special section has been prepared that reflects the
link of the artist with Xàbia. The Javea Town Hall has published a catalog on this exhibition, curated by the Sorolla Museum Foundation.
It is expected that, in addition to the mayor and the Councilor for Culture, the president of the Sorolla Museum Foundation, María Dolores Giménez-Blanco Carrillo de Albornoz, will attend the opening. There will also be a chamber music performance by the orchestral group Marinae Ensemble.
