Yesterday, Sunday, December 15, Gata de Gorgos hosted the I Fira del Montgó in which the six towns of influence of the Natural Park Montgó, Dénia, Jávea, Gata de Gorgos, La Xara, Pedreguer and Jesús Pobre. The different localities placed stands of artisan and gastronomic products from the different municipalities that people could visit while activities with horses or demonstrations of traditional trades were carried out.
Thanks to the good weather that accompanied Sunday morning, visitors from all over the region came to visit the I Fira del Montgó and taste tapas and typical dishes of the area. Among them was the "Polx Putxero" which was the star dish with which the First Gastronomic Contest of this dish was held in which seafood products are mixed with local products. The success of this first edition will be a key condition for the event to be held again next year.
