El Javea Town Hall received, yesterday morning, several foreign students who are participating in different cultural and language exchange programs with students from Xàbia.
On the one hand, the participants in the project Erasmus experiences in which students of the IES Number 1 of Xàbia participate together with students of the Friedrich-List-Berufskolleg of Herford (Germany) and the IBC Fredericia-Middelfart of Denmark visited the plenary hall of the town hall and where the mayor, José Chulvi, And the Councilor for Education, Montse VillaverdeThey welcomed both young people and their teachers.
The mayors wish you a good stay in our municipality and take advantage of this enriching experience, which has as its motto a healthy lifestyle. Soon it will be the students of Xàbia who travel to Germany.
Rotary Club Jávea
Also, the mayor and the councilwoman met with four other young arrivals from the US, Canada and India at the hands of Rotary exchanges. Students will be throughout the school year living with families in the municipality who, through this program, have their children studying in other parts of the world. Together with the young women were the president of Rotary Jávea, Ana Cruz and the secretary of the association, Pepe Giuliano.
The four young women will study at the Xàbia institutes, within the Rotary International youth exchange program. In these exchanges more than 9.000 high school students participate each year and allow them to learn a new language, other countries and other cultures, from the hand of the volunteers that Rotary has all over the world.
The four girls, Jacy, Peyton, Shayla and Ryana, the first two come from the US, the third is Canadian and
Rayna is from India. In addition, from Xàbia, four other young people also participate in this exchange program: Laura is in the Philippines, Berta in Thai, Lolie in Finland and Andrea in the US.
