Back Mercatap, the best leisure and gastronomy offer in the Mercat de Xàbia. The event will take place this Saturday, October 20, starting at 19 p.m.
The Councilor for Development, Marta Bañuls, has ensured that it will be a success as in previous editions. Plaza Celestino Pons will be closed to traffic at 19 pm and attractions, workshops and inflatables for children will be installed. In addition, there will be street entertainment with the group X BAND.
The tapas will begin at 19 hours inside the Mercat Municipal de Xàbia and will remain open until midnight. Virtually all establishments will participate in the event by adding 'The Barquet', the new fishing and catering stand that will open its doors later this week.
Those responsible for the event, Raúl Caselles, President of Xàbia Histórico, and Rafa Expósito, president of the Association of Sellers of the Mercat Municipal, have commented that the products of the tapas will be of proximity and quality, "kilometer 0", and at night drinks and cocktails will also be served. The price of the cover goes from the 2 euros and the drink from 1.50 euros.
The councilor has taken the opportunity to announce that next Monday, October 21, will begin the works of reform of the toilets of the Mercat, "will be unisex, first the toilet will be reformed by the entrance of Rogets and La Paraeta and then the other one facing the Mercat bar".
With regard to image enhancement, Mercat's painting is planned for next year. Also, the mayor has said that she is working with the objective of filling all the stops in a short time, since there are currently two empty.
