Works Department Town hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will begin on Monday, November 25, the asphalting works in the Cumbre del Sol, La Joya and Les Fonts urbanizations. The work, which will be carried out by the Pavasal company, has an execution period of one month from the signing of the reconsideration act that took place last Wednesday the 13th, although it is expected to be ready in about 15 days. The project, which will be financed thanks to a grant from the Alicante Provincial Council for financially sustainable investments, has a total cost of 195.328,19 euros (VAT included).
Through this help, the road of the most affected points of Camellias, Dalias and Encinas in the Cumbre del Sol urbanization will be conditioned, as well as some roads in the La Joya and Les Fonts urbanizations. The latter was not included in the initial project, but it was one of the improvements presented by the winner.
Within the action, in addition to asphalting, the clearing of vegetation and previous sweeping, the lifting of caps to the final grade, the bump in broken sections and the cleaning and removal of remains of work after the completion of the work is planned.
As for the inconveniences that may be caused, from the area of works they predict that it will not be necessary to cut any street given the breadth of the roads and that the inconvenience will be minimal.
The mayor, Miguel Ángel García, has pointed out the importance of these works, since these are very deteriorated roads in which he has not acted since its creation. The mayor has also advanced the beginning of unprecedented and long-term planning to improve the services that most concern the population. “The neighbors of this town want to see that the maintenance of basic and necessary elements such as asphalting, cleaning or street lighting is fulfilled. And this is the first step towards a new objective: the planned maintenance of all these services ”Garcia said.
That planning, in fact, is already being carried out with the cleaning and adaptation of roads and green areas. Garcia recalled that the EMERGE brigade is carrying out work in suburban residential areas and soon, with all these actions, they will begin to see changes and improvements.
