This weekend the neighbors of La Plana Xàbia celebrate their popular festivals in honor of the Mare de Déu dels Àngels. The festive activities will begin on Friday, August 1 at 19:00 p.m. with the celebration of the novena and at 19:30 p.m. They will meet in a procession in which the traditional "dancetes de pastorets" of the Grup de Danses Protitxol will take place. At night they will celebrate a brotherhood dinner that will be enlivened by the Toni "El Poblero" orchestra followed by a raffle.
On Saturday, August 2, the patron's day, a solemn Mass will be celebrated at 12: 00 h. chaired by the Archbishop of Valencia, Carlos Osoro Sierra. At the end, the mayorales will offer a wine of honor. In the afternoon, the children will be the protagonists as inflatable castles will be installed, games will be held and a snack will be offered for all of them. Late at night, the mayorales will close the holiday weekend with a brotherhood dinner enlivened by the Aibax & Pub car and a raffle among the attendees.
