A spectacular gala parade puts the end point to the Feasts of Moors and Christians of Xàbia

The 12 filaes of Xàbia lived, during this weekend, their two great days of celebration with the parades of gala where they come to show their wonderful costumes. In both the Saturday and Sunday parades, the streets of Duanes de la Mar were filled with crowds.

The streets Cristo del Mar and Avenida Jaime I welcomed, to the rhythm of Moorish and Christian marches, this parade. When just a few minutes past eight in the afternoon of yesterday, Sunday was the beginning of the last parade of gala of the celebrations of 2017.

The banner of the Board of Moors and Christians of Xàbia And the chariot of the Christian standard bearer, Loreto Garcia, made way for the spectacular parade. She was followed by filaes Christian Filà Ballesters, filà Trabuquers, filà Contrabandistes, Pirates of Sant Jaume filà y Filà Faciners, That to the rhythm of its marches and pasodobles crossed the streets filling them of color and joy and with a corporal ropes that aclamaron the applause of the public.

Behind them came the Moorish troops. With the representative of the crescent, Raquel Violero leading this side, the filaes: Al Tarik's, Baharis, Xibia, Schaitans, Almoriscos, Almoradins and closing the Moorish troops, the filà Capitana Jalufos, who showed their best outfits and makeup.

But the appetizer to this spectacular parade was put by the entrance of bands and their joint interpretation of the pasodoble Xàbia. All the bands that participated in the parade, both Saturday and Sunday made the traditional entrance along the avenue Jaime I, and only Sunday sounded Xàbia.
