under the motto Quin plastic fàstic, the schoolchildren of CEIP Port of Xàbia will undertake, until the month of June, a fortnightly cleaning campaign in the La Grava beach. At the same time, they will set up an information stand to explain their objectives to the public, show the effects of human behavior on the environment and invite them to join both the clean-up sessions and, above all, to have a more civic behavior and not litter. in public spaces.
This initiative of citizen awareness has been explained, today Thursday, by three students of the school, representing the classes of 5 and 6º of primary school, Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, and the Councilor for Services, Kika Mata.
Project 'Message in a bottle
The CEIP Port of Xàbia has been joining the coastal clean-up days for several years, but they wanted to do something special as a result of their participation in the project 'Message in a Bottle' of the Oceanogràfic Foundation, which looks for the current problems that affect the marine environment and that are involved in good environmental practices and improvement challenges.
The municipal officials congratulated the center for their project and gave them the necessary logistical support.
