Enrique Escrivá: «Seasonal services arrive late»

13 June 2022 - 10: 16

The spokesperson for Cs Xàbia, Enrique Escrivá, has expressed its concern "in the face of the shortcomings and lack of foresight of the local executive when it comes to having the beach season services ready." As Escrivá pointed out, "since September last year we have been listening to the municipal government talk about the coastal and pre-coastal management plan, but the truth is that today the regulated parking service in the coves of the granadella and Portichol”, since the contest has been deserted.

Escrivá added that "nothing is known about the bus service to the coves, which offers an alternative and discourages the use of private vehicles."

"Season services are late"

On the other hand, but in terms of seasonal services, Escrivá has disfigured the local executive that "a service as elementary as surveillance and lifeguard is no longer in operation on a daily basis, at least on the three blue flag beaches (La Grava, Arenal and Granadella), since currently and until June 15 the service is only provided on weekends in the Arenal Beach".

The Ciudadanos spokesperson has proposed that the next surveillance and lifeguard contract on the beaches, "also be extended to the beach of La Caleta, given the large influx of bathers that this cove registers every year”.

The mayor has pointed out that with the tourist influx expected for the month of May, "it is worrying that at the beginning of the season, we still do not have any sunbed and umbrella services on our beaches, because the tender for seasonal services has been called afternoon". In this sense, Escrivá has urged the local government "to
continue working to deseasonalize the tourist season, lengthening it and offering quality seasonal services from minute zero of the beginning of the season and not from the second half of June".

Anonymously, we spend our holidays in Javea because we have Family there and it seems to me that every year the same is said. The Chiringuitos, the access to the Granadella, the Arenal and the Tubes, Restaurants that are not in the orders that they should be. What a pity that you do everything in the last minute

In the sandbank you literally bathe in shit. Thank you Chulvi

We've been visiting Xabia for 25 years, we love the area, we are surprised and disappointed there are no sun beds on the beach. For older people and those with accessibility issues the beds allow us to enjoy the arenal.

Blackpool is waiting for you with the sun beds.

    • Laura Ayuso says:

You are completely right. There is a huge lack of organization or interest to make things happen in this village.
@IgnacioG, what a shitty comment, not wondering why things go the way they go in this country. X
