Enrique Escrivá (Citizens): «Xàbia needs to offer opportunities to those who are already there so they don't have to close the blind and leave»

Only 6 days remain for citizens to deposit their vote to the proposal they most like to improve or change Xàbia. Political parties work hard to make their projects and ideas known.

Our protagonist today is the number one Ciudadanos, Enrique Escrivá.

- Who is Enrique Escrivá?

A 27-year-old, tirelessly fighter, passionate about helping others and enthusiastic about being able to contribute his grain of sand to his native Jávea in the form of work and dedication, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the xabieros, to improve Xàbia among all. Graduated in Law from the University of Valencia, interested in everything that happens in Xàbia, my region and my Community, in my free time I enjoy getting lost in La Falzia and Portitxol, having a game of ping pong and a game of football with my friends, my family and my partner.

- Why did you make the decision to head the list of Citizens and stand for elections?

I understand that Xàbia can not remain stagnant for another year, for eight months a year. The impulse and the support of the people who trust me has been decisive to bet on a brave project, which puts the focus on the opportunities of today and tomorrow for the Xabieros; which gives facilities to undertake and continue to each with their business, to listen to their needs, their complaints and demands, dialoguing on the street.

- How do you describe the team that accompanies you?

People involved in the project and committed to their neighbors, who believe in a Jávea with a wide margin for improvement. People who walk the streets every day, with the experience, talent and political will necessary to identify the problems of the xabieros and provide the dose of listening and proposals that sometimes we xabieros have missed on behalf of the Town hall.

- What priority action does Xàbia need?

There is so much to do. However, our first objective will be to value the effort and dedication of entrepreneurs and those who, despite their preparation, can not find work. Xàbia needs to offer opportunities to those who are already there so that they do not have to close the blind and leave and give facilities to those who want to start their project and settle down.

We want those who already have a business to offer their products to neighbors the 365 days of the year, through new technologies and that both those seeking employment and those who offer it, see in the City Council your best ally and not your worst nightmare.

For that reason, we bet that the City Council provides tools to help those who have their business set up and who want to start from scratch, by making available meeting points for entrepreneurs in which associations and professional associations of each sector participate.

However, we understand the dynamisation of our local economy as a task in which we will all have to pitch in. We bet on starting from the minute 1, a Strategic Plan of dynamisation in which we listen and we have all the sectors that pull our local economy to lay the foundations of a seasonally-oriented and quality tourism the 365 days of the year, with infrastructures and services adapted to our needs. It is hard to think of a tourism seasonally adjusted when it takes more than half an hour to park in Xàbia and the alternative is to wait an hour to get the bus to go from the village to the beach.

- What is the main objective of Citizens to initiate a change in Xàbia?

Our main objective is to manage to improve. Improvements that the xabieros perceive in their day to day. Our main objective is to put Xàbia on the map to create stable and quality employment by providing facilities to those seeking employment and want to undertake their life project here to stay. To do this, we must be at the side of our young people, our neighbors and companies, so that Xàbia is an attractive place to visit, but above all, a place to live, undertake, train and prosper.

- Tell us about your electoral program

We have developed a program that gathers the needs, demands and proposals of the people at street level, but especially, we have elaborated a series of proposals thinking about recognizing the effort of the Xabieros who keep pulling our local economy day after day. We think that talking about Xàbia should be talking about local commerce, innovation, quality tourism and sustainability.

And all this happens by generating opportunities for those who undertake, by betting on the economic dynamisation and multicultural coexistence that we have in Xàbia, taking advantage of it to generate value and wealth, betting on bars, establishments and establishments to become spaces for cultural exchange and languages , because we offer our products to the rest of the world and that we bet for our land, promoting an Agricultural Market of typical products of Xàbia.

However, we can not understand Xàbia, without the small merchant he gets up day after day to set up his business, for that reason we want Xàbia to be an insurance for those who already have their business, but also for those who want to start from scratch, that's why we want to work together with the job accelerators, so that those who have an idea and a project have financial support and know that they have the backing of their City Council.

We have proposed a series of measures looking towards the future, to take care of our environment through a clean and sustainable mobility, betting on creating a network of charging points for electric vehicles and improving the conservation and cleanliness of our beaches, although the truth is that unfortunately, Xàbia is dirty, the cleaning and garbage collection service does not work and management by the government team to solve the problem has been conspicuous by its absence. For that reason we will propose that it be AMJASA who is in charge of providing the service once the current concession ends, to make it more efficient and the cleanliness of Xàbia will count less to our pocket, since it could also generate more jobs and wealth in our municipality.

We want the neighbors to pay the water at the right price according to the real cost, in the same way, we understand that it is necessary to implement the Second Phase of the treatment plant, in order to reuse water for irrigation, giving an impulse to our agriculture.

We understand that Xàbia has to return to being a benchmark by pulling the creation of stable and quality employment for the present and future generations, boosting our business fabric through a Strategic Plan for Trade and Markets in which all of them actively participate. the agents, merchants, businessmen, sellers and neighbors as I said before.

On the other hand, from Ciudadanos we understand that to reactivate Xàbia, it is necessary, in addition to having clean and ecological public transport connections that adapt to the needs of the neighbors, to propose an integrated vision of Xàbia; and that happens because the town, port and arenal are not isolated from each other. That is why we propose to unite the Montañar walk with the Arenal Beach, with the fundamental premise of not attacking our environment and landscape.

In terms of health services, we will ask the Ministry that Xàbia has an X-ray service, as well as extending the service hours of the Port Health Center and the Arenal summer clinic. We bet to make of Xàbia an authentic space cardioseguro, increasing the number of defibrillators, putting them also at the disposal of the patrols of the Local Police and signaling the spaces have defibrillators through interactive maps.

In the field of entrepreneurship and the fight against youth unemployment, we are going to set up participative circles of entrepreneurship and career guidance, counting on Information Technologies, we want our young people to be in permanent contact with the labor market in which they work. they will find, that synergies are generated between companies, future entrepreneurs and employees so that also the companies are aware of the talent and concerns of young people. In addition, working for young people's opportunities means that we promote new dual vocational training itineraries and that we focus on English, both within and outside of schools, also promoting self-learning platforms through collaboration agreements.

On the other hand, for our young and not so young to stay, for Xàbia to be a place for everyone, it is essential that we work for affordable access to housing. For this reason, we want the Municipal Housing Service of Xàbia, increase its opening hours and we bet on an active search for collaboration and financing with entities and associations, to increase the available housing, as well as those who give their homes for social rent pay less for the IBI, to give a boost to the mobilization of empty housing, also betting on incentives housing rehabilitation and the commitment to energy efficiency.

We do not understand the future of Xàbia without tourism, which is sustainable and diversified and for that, we have to count on attractive initiatives and that in passing value the conservation of the wealth of our environment, as it can be through photography contests marine that raise awareness about the richness and value of our marine environment and the importance of taking care of it.

We want to give a boost to our culture, performing arts, gastronomic tourism, sports and also technological and innovation, but for this we need to have once the auditorium and the pool finished. With an offer of services, training and comxicotetive infrastructure and quality, our tourism will improve with us. Transparency in the management and administration of resources is the fundamental pillar of our proposals; We want to know where each euro goes from our pocket and we understand that it is essential that the expenses and investments made by the City Council, be financially sustainable and transparent, that we can know all the Xabieros, through an understandable access in Xàbiaconnecta. We understand that it is absolutely necessary to make good use of the remainder, the surplus of the budget so that it does not get lost and stays frozen because in the end it means having fewer services, less cleaning and more taxes. Our proposal is to invest the money we have without spending over the budget we have.

- What would you ask citizens?

That they think about the Xàbia that we have today and in which we want to have tomorrow. Let them stop for a moment to think about Xàbia. I ask you to think about the present and the future that you want for our municipality. They are going to vote with the view that Xàbia is not just a place to visit, it is also a place to stay and grow, but for this we need to get going, invest in the present and have a Town Hall next to the neighbor, that besides listening, acting and managing improving the services and relieving the neighbors of burdens. I ask that from the next 26 in May we all get together to build a present and a future in which we talk about quality of life, sustainability and opportunities in Xàbia for all.
