Survey 26M of Xàbia.com: The PSOE would revalidate its absolute majority

May 18 from 2019 - 14: 29

In Xàbia, six political parties attend the municipal elections this coming 26 in May. Xàbia.com has carried out a survey between May 6 and 9 through the streets of the town and the results obtained indicate that of the six parties that are presented, five of them would get representation in the Town hall.

The PSOE gets 12 councilors

On the dates when the survey was conducted, an 80,5% of the respondents had already decided their vote, while an 19,5% did not know which party was going to vote or did not answer the question. The 40% of the voting intention is concentrated in a single party, the PSPV-PSOE, which obtains an 39,7%. It is followed by Ciudadanos by Jávea with an 12,7% and in third place the PP is positioned with the 12,4%. The fourth most voted force is in a tie between Citizens and Compromis, both with an 6,5%. Finally, we can find an 2,6%, a figure that places him without municipal representation, being below the 5% of the electoral roll.

21 councilors for Xàbia

According to the Ley d'Hondt, Xàbia City Council has 21 councillors, so the absolute majority would be reached with 11 councillors, which would correspond to the PSPV-PSOE headed by José Chulvi according to this survey. In this way, the PSOE would continue to have an absolute majority as at present, although it would lose two councilors.

Second, two parties would be the most voted and would get three councilors each: PP and Citizens by Jávea, adding one each of those obtained in the previous term. They would be followed by Citizens and Commitments, two formations in which there is a tie in the estimates, and each of these parties 1 or 2 councilors can obtain. Result that would represent representation of Citizens that now does not have either, the increase of a councilor for Compromis in reference to the current situation.

José Chulvi is the candidate most valued

Out of a total of 307 respondents, an 66,4% contributed their evaluation on José Chulvi, current mayor of Xàbia and head of list of PSPV-PSOE. An 33,9% of the respondents evaluated Juan Ortolà, head of the list of Ciudadanos por Jávea. Vicent Colomer, Head Compromís list was evaluated by a 25,4% of respondents. Rosa Cardona, the Popular Party received the assessment of an 22,5% of respondents. No other candidate was evaluated by at least 10% of respondents.

All the candidates receive a good evaluation: the maximum score corresponds to José Chulvi (PSPV-PSOE), with 7,2 points out of 10. The next best valued candidate was Vicent Colomer (Compromís) with 6,3 points, Rosa Cardona (PP ), Juan Ortolà (CpJ) and Enrique Escrivá (C's) coincide in a 6 and Bernhard Feiner (Podemos) obtains a 5,1.

Xàbia has changed

The 55,7% of respondents think that Xàbia has changed in recent years. An 40,7% thinks it has not changed significantly, and an 3,6% of the respondents do not know / do not answer the question. Also, among those who think that Jávea has changed, the 70,8% believes that this change has been better and the 18,7% thinks it has been worse.

Youth, Mayor and Sports, the councils best rated

The highest rated councils have been Youth and Senior, Sports, and Social Welfare and Education, probably in relation to the visibility of the actions taken in the last term.

Specifically, the 17,3% of respondents indicated that the councils of Youth and Sports are among those that have done a better job, followed by Social Welfare and Education, Citizen Participation and Citizen Security and Mobility. In the case of the other Councils, less than one 10% of respondents have considered in each case that they were among those who did a better job.

In this section we point out that there is a misprint since there were not considered two councils of importance such as Tourism and Culture.

  1. Miquel Strogoff says:

Who have they asked? To the Bon Xic family? Because fabric, the town is worse since Xulvi entered, it seems like a town in Africa, abandoned without infrastructure and dirty also with many streets to be paved. I don't know if this survey will be from Texans but all I know is that Xulvi controls the media….
