The Valencian Emergency Agency has scheduled, for next Wednesday, July 28, an informative day on fire prevention aimed at residents in areas close to forest areas. This activity is included
in the 'Stop al Foc' campaign and is scheduled at 11 am in the center of the association of Hispanic residents of Balcón al Mar (George Frederic Händel street, number 3).

The day is open to all interested people, whether they are residents of Cap de la Nao or other parts of the municipality.

These talks seek to promote prevention and self-protection of the inhabitants of the urban-forest interface (IUF), that is, of those bordering areas or that are within the natural environment, mainly urbanizations with high risk of forest fire.

They offer advice and recommendations on how to prevent the risk of forest fire, react appropriately and protect yourself in case of danger. Informative brochures are also handed out with explicit behavior guidelines in relation to housing, maintaining the plots and caring for the environment, and there will also be activities for the little ones, to raise awareness from childhood.

With this awareness and sensitization campaign, which has the collaboration of the Department of Security and Emergency Prevention of the Javea Town Hall, it is intended that the inhabitants of the interface areas are aware of the risks involved in living in a space surrounded by forest mass and of the need to get involved and commit, individually and collectively, and adopt all necessary measures to minimize the risk of fire.
