The surveillance and inspection department of the Xàbia Services Department has opened in the last few months almost a hundred disciplinary proceedings for the violation of the rules of use in green points. Most of them are due to the dumping of garden waste and the like from the lucrative activity of gardeners or for throwing uncontrolled furniture or fixtures out of the containers.
El Town hall it has reinforced surveillance in these spaces in the face of constant abuses that offer a terrible public image despite public spending on cleaning (most are emptied twice a day).
The rules of use of these spaces are regulated by the Municipal Ordinance of Citizen Coexistence and Security and their non-compliance may result in penalties of 750 euros in case of recidivism. The green dots are facilities distributed throughout the municipality (there are more than 20) and controlled by the City Council whose function is to offer the citizens of the municipality a place to deposit separately the waste generated in their homes.
The entry of waste generated in other populations is prohibited as well as its use by garden professionals or similar activities, since for the industrial use is the management center of Ramblars, where they can deposit them at a very affordable price.

As for the furniture or fixtures, the municipality also has a free home collection service, upon request by phone to the number 900 102 149 and the Ecopark, the municipal facility, also completely free of charge, where it can be deposited separately large variety of waste generated in the domestic environment, but which by its nature or composition have no place in conventional containers installed on the street. Its winter time is from Monday to Saturday, from 9: 00 to 13: 30 hours and from 15: 30 to 17: 30 hours.
Councilwoman Services, Kika Mata, has requested citizen collaboration with the good use of these public spaces, both by image and by commitment to the care of the environment.
