El Javea Town Hall has reached an agreement with the Fundació de Pilota Valenciana to promote this sport in the municipality with the incorporation of the trinquet in the professional circuit and the sponsorship of one of the teams of "Raspall" competing in the professional league.
The Consistory will contribute 8.025 euros and, as a result of this collaboration, the Foundation will take charge of the management of the games - promoting the holding of high-level meetings - as well as their dissemination through television broadcasts.
The municipality will also have a team to promote the brand "EsportXàbia" at the regional and national level; Formed by the pelotaris Ian, Seve and Nestor, the Xàbia team has already secured a place in the semi-finals of the professional league
Today the mayor, José ChulviAnd the Councilor for Sports, Alberto Tur, have presented the agreement with which the municipality expresses its support for the Valencian autochthonous sport.
