El 'Trenet a la Granadella'

09 July 2018 - 17: 06

El train to granadella is a service that puts the Javea Town Hall for those people who want to get to the cove for free and without having to use their car. The service will begin, this Tuesday 10 of July until the 30 of August and the schedule is of 11 to 20 hours.

The route will be circular starting from Guardia Park, with a frequency of 45 minutes. The Department of Services has enabled at the confluence between the streets of L'Oroneta and La Falzia the reception point for users of this public transport with a stop sheltered from the sun and a parking area, also free, with 69 spaces.

Restricted entry of private vehicles

The City Council of Xàbia, for the second year, will regulate the access by car to the Granadella cove to avoid its collapse during the summer. Remember that when the entry in a private vehicle is restricted, the residents and workers of the cove have an identification card to circulate freely.

Following the same system as last season, a barrier has been installed on the road from Granadella (at the height of Verderol and Teuladí streets) that will get off when the parking spaces in the cove are full.

The regulation will be active from tomorrow Tuesday 10 of July to the 30 of August and has a free transport system that the City Council makes available to bathers.

This measure, tries to avoid a saturation of the creek that will damage its environment and reduce the tourist quality. And above all, reduce the circulatory chaos (which could even put security at risk and hinder the evacuation or access of emergency vehicles before a hypothetical situation of danger) that occurs when parking is complete. After the closure of the channel of the ravine it is only allowed to park on Pic Tort Street and the municipal land of the old Guardia Civil barracks.
