The basking shark copy of a fishing boat found dying in the waters of Xàbia last Thursday turned out to be the same issue that hours before had been dragged through the nets of a fishing vessel Dianense.
Apparently the fishing boat found off the coast of Dénia returned to the sea, and hours later was dragged through the networks javiense boat that took him to practically dead port.
This was confirmed by the president of the Fishermen's Association of Xàbia, Moisés Herades, who said that it is common, in summer, to find these shark specimens in our waters. According to Herades, among the fishermen they call this piece "the black one", because if it enters the nets it ends all the fishing that the ship has achieved that day. In fact, the "fishing" of this shark meant the loss of 60% of the catch of that day for the boat.
