The Gorgos River overflows in Xàbia before the fear that the flow continues to grow

26 March 2022 - 20: 20

The intense rains have returned this noon to the Marina Alta, especially in the interior of the region. This situation has caused the Gorgos River to overflow from 20:00 p.m.

As reported by the Local Police of Xàbia, the river has begun to overflow in the Camí del riu, at the height of the Desalination Plant.

Xàbia is on orange alert due to rain and, therefore, the forecast is that the flow will continue to grow in the coming hours.

The access roads to the river are still closed and, from the Local Police, they ask that precautions be taken and that they refrain from circulating along the banks of the river and other flood-prone passages in the municipality.

It's normal for it to overflow, it's done on purpose, I don't know why there's so much alarm, it's the lowest part of the river and if there weren't that area that helps drain the water, the consequences would be disastrous further down the riverbed.
Well done by all the agents and security forces a 10. Thank you.

"Well done by all the agents and security forces a 10" (?)
His job is to do that, the weird thing would be if he hadn't. I don't see what that 10 is for.
      I do not get it.

Note: When you go to the Bakery and ask for a loaf of bread, they give it to you and charge you. Do you also give them a 10?
How many "10" do you distribute throughout the day?

      • Vecino says:

That is called being polite something that you seem not to be, I thank you for the great work you do.
If one day you need the firefighters or doctors to save your life, remember to say thank you and do not despise their work.
A question when you buy bread, do you say thank you or tell them to go to hell?
        Goodnight.

        • neighbor says:

You were wrong to send me to hell.
          You have photographed yourself.
But I give him a 10, he deserves it, for how well he has done.
          A 10, yes sir.

You are right but, in my opinion, if the city council had cleaned the riverbed and left it without plants or garbage, it is most likely that the overflow would have been less, since plants grow on the sides of the river, such as reeds. , which are about 3 meters high and there are many along the river.

I understand that the person in charge of this newspaper does not read the comments.
I would have changed such a laughable headline.
    In order.

  3. Xavi says:

Very funny headline. The river has overflowed for fear that the flow would increase!

  4. neighbor says:

Of course Chilvi, the best thing is to allocate funds from the City Council to rehabilitate the Cinema, to promote more Jávea, for more people to come…

Keep it up, the rest is nonsense.

Congratulations champion, you are doing everything phenomenal !!!!!!

    BRAVO !!!!!
