A new art space joins the charm of the historic center of Xàbia. Is about Rosa's Corner, a private gallery that opens the Madrid painter and recorder Rosa Escalona on Calle Roques, 21 with its own pictorial production and some sculptures that helps stimulate the cultural life of the area.
This new corner is the result of the artist's exciting project when moving to Xàbia to reside permanently. The goal of Escalona with Rosa's Corner is to offer a retrospective, and as representative as possible, view of his more than 40 years as a painter and recorder, among which the collections stand out: Toledo, Life is beautiful and La vie en rose.
Currently, this new initiative is in the process of organization, cataloging and documentation, by the artist who wants to show the techniques used, creativity and work ideas. Among her ideas for the future, Rosa Escalona wants to have her own museum that gathers her most significant works, and create within it a room dedicated to the exhibition of works by women artists.
