14 December 2021 - 17: 28

The yachtsman from Club Náutico Jávea, Jacobo Ramón was the best in the Bic Techno Plus category, in the 55th edition of the Alicante Nautical Week, which was held this past weekend at the Real Club Náutico de Regatas de Alicante.

The event was marked by the lack of wind, since only two rounds could be completed in the two days. In both, Ramón was the best of all the participants.

He was not the only one who was on the winners' podium, since in Bic Techno Sub15, Pablo Momparler was second, with two rounds in which he was third and second. As well as Mateo Carbonell and Arthur Baker who climbed to the third drawer of the podium in the optimist sub13 classification, as well as the couple formed by Amelie and Elisabeth Baker, who were the third best in 420. The same position that Marta Sánchez achieved in Formula Kite.

The Jávea Yacht Club attended this weekend's event in Alicante with a great expedition made up of Momparler and Ramón, as well as Alex Serrat, Mauro Guijarro, Jorge Momparler and Noor Saidi. José Luis Boronat Roda also attended Alicante, who played the Spanish Raceboard Cup, with a creditable seventh place.

  • Alex Serrat was fifth at Bic Techno
  • Mauro Guijarro was seventh in Bic Techno sub17
  • Jorge Momparler and Noor Saidi were fifth and seventh in Bic Techno sub15.
  • Mateo Carbonell and Arthur Baker, the best in Optimist

In addition, the tests for the Optimist fleet were also disputed, and among the more than 90 sailors of the optimist A fleet, there were those from Náutico Jávea. In fact, four made it into the top 25. Mateo Carbonell (was eighth overall and third best in U13), Fernando Puig (11), Liam Woods (21), Vivi Alonso (23), Begoña Pérez-Manglano (33), Kevin Lenis (42), Carlota Gómez (46), Mauro Poveda (58) and Elena Pérez Manglano (60).

Meanwhile, in class B there were 96 participants, and four from the Club Náutico Jávea were classified among the 15 best. Arthur Baker was the one who reached the best position (9 overall and third under 11), Lewis McGregor (12), Charlie Crosbie (13), Pelayo Poveda (24), Elisaveta Konak (31) and Marc Puig (60).

On the other hand, on the bridge of December, the 420 class and Formula Kite tests were disputed and there was also a successful presence of the sailors of the Jávea Yacht Club: with the sisters Amelie and Elisabeth Baker; Arantza Reig and Lucy Crosbie. The Baker sisters were third (with a 2-5-3-1 partial) and the Reig-Crosbie duo were fourth in the general classification (whose partial was 3-3-2-4). While Marta Sánchez, was third in kite formula.
