The PSPV-PSOE asks the State to increase the general budget for the Marina Alta

May 21 from 2018 - 13: 56

The Socialist deputy in the Congress, Herick Campos, met, a few days ago, in Dénia, with socialist mayors of the Marina Alta and the regional general secretary, Óscar Mengual, to establish joint actions in the town halls and in the Cortes Generales.

The objective is to increase institutional pressure and put an end to the isolation by train and road that the region suffers, as the Alicante-Valencia Coastline Train project continues to be paralyzed, and not having a PP commitment for the AP-7 to be free in January of 2020.

Within these actions, the amendments are framed in which they request an increase of 33 million euros in the investment planned by the Government for the Marina Alta for 2018, which include 7,5 million euros to complete the studies and start the realization of projects , in such a way that in 2019 there could be some section in tender with respect to the Tren de la Costa. Also, with reference to the other amendment, this one demands to include in the law, that the AP-7 is free once the current concession ends, that the 31 of December of 2019 expires.

To do this, they have submitted another amendment of 3 million euros for the Government to assume the bonuses that would allow the liberalization of the Ondara-Oliva stretch until then, in such a way that it acts as a circumvallation of the urban nucleus of Oliva and the stretch of the N-332 that concentrates a high number of accidents and victims.

And is that according to Campos explained, "For the Socialists it is non-negotiable that the AP-7 be free and we do not want to talk about a soft fee or partial toll, since it must be completely free." Regarding the Train of the Coast, Campos regretted that nothing has been made from 2011 and has asked the Government to fully assume the project in the face of the Community's underfunding, and for that increase the investment to complete the studies and projects.
