The PSOE presents in Duanes the plan for the reform of Cristo del Mar and the creation of a park in Rafal

May 22 from 2019 - 11: 17

The mayor and candidate of the Socialist Party, José Chulvi, announced two of the important projects he has in his electoral program centered in the Duanes area. On the one hand, the Rafal Park, a green lung and a recreational area of 50.000 square meters between the town and the port and on the other, the reform of Cristo del Mar, the last great road of Duanes that remained to be redeveloped after Lepanto , Jaume I, Adolfo Suárez and Calle Caleta.

Also, Chulvi committed to "Revitalize one of the most authentic parts of this neighborhood: the area of Bartolomé Ros".

On the pending works, the socialist candidate pointed out that "After a lot of fighting and resisting the unspeakable, the Consell Jurídic Consultiu has given the reason to Xàbia. The abandonment of the company that had to make the bridge of Triana is irresponsible and has no legal or technical justification. In the end they just wanted more money. And we said no, that with the patrimony of our people we were not going to tolerate irregularities. Now a totally new panorama opens up, as we recover the work and we will be able to tender it again. We will have a bridge, we will have an auditorium, and we will have a swimming pool ".

On the other hand José Chulvi, expressed his displeasure in front of the last declarations "Of candidates who arrive three and a half years late to this term, or who now seem to have never been part of the government team", in reference to Compromís.

In addition, the councilor of Duanes intervened, Marta Bañuls, the president of the PSOE, George Thomas, the new candidate Cristina García and a representative of the sailors and veteran militant of the group, José Serrat, "el Xato".

Well, this time I feel I do not totally agree with Miquel or with Fernando: the Saladar is a flood zone and making a park there does not seem like a good idea, since at the first waterspout, it will fall again as happens every certain time, he would take everything arranged. Only this project could be carried out if the necessary drains are made, which I see very difficult and very expensive. I believe that the Saladar must remain more or less as it is, taking care of its cleaning and improving the roads, and declare it definitely a non-buildable area. Personally, I like nature the way it is and I think there are very few areas left in Jávea, at least those that can be accessed without having to drive. Apart from that, the Rafal seems to me an outrage, it is the only pine forest that remains in Jávea, at least accessible, although it is full of garbage and I think, I do not know for sure, that it is not owned by the City Council.

Hello Erika, we only ask that the Saladar be a little bit better, it has never been flooded in life, it has been flooded since the streets were raised and all the water that comes from the urbanizations comes to stop there being lower. There are a lot of weeds and reeds from time to time if they pass a tractor or something would be fantastic, every year something happens a fire or flood. Conclusion with a little labor and desire to work can do everything. Caring for things costs nothing. If they want it green, let them clean but do not have it full of garbage. Now that it has rained there are many mosquitoes and it smells very bad to standing water that is a very serious health problem.

Miquel, I agree with you that Saladar is adept, I have been cleaning several times and also other friends (we are all from the “Xabìa net among tots” group and we are cleaning very often throughout Jávea), but what I thought it was unfeasible to make a park, due to the difficulty of periodic flooding and its cost of disposal. Passing from time to time a tractor does not seem ideal either, I have seen other areas where it has been done and the only thing that is achieved, at least what I have seen, is to leave in the air all the garbage thrown by unpresentable and uncivil. And I say it because a few days ago I went for a walk there and I did not even travel a hundred meters; specifically from the beginning of the dirt road, near the roundabout of the Wok and the supermarket More and more, I collected, in those one hundred meters, three large garbage bags and a drum, clear empty, of 50 liters. Because I had my car parked relatively close, I was able to load everything in it to throw it in the right place, since there was not a container nearby. As long as there are people who litter anywhere, we will not have a fix, no matter how much park is made. And as long as it continues to be built without stopping, without taking into account the traditional and beautiful construction of Jávea and destroying its architectural treasure, even less. Mosquitoes, cockroaches and other bugs also come from garbage accumulated everywhere. Forgive the length of my response, I would need more space to explain the rage that gives me to see the degradation of many spaces in this beautiful town.

  2. Fernando says:

    Totally in agreement with Miquel.

  3. Miquel Strogoff says:

It is worth more to make a good park in the Saladar and not in the Rafal, there in the Saladar it has logic but not there, El Saladar with gardens, stools to sit, fountains, swings for children or for adults with some other monument of tosca or stone, water reservoir with fish, ducks or other animals, children-elderly recreational games, a great bike lane that is needed etc etc ....
If this is read by a politician please think about it, having Jávea pretty and arranged does not cost anything, you just have to worry a bit about it because Jávea we are all ....
