The PSOE of Xàbia urges the governing team to hold an extraordinary and monographic plenary session on the municipal swimming pool

February 05 from 2025 - 20: 12

After months of unsuccessfully asking for the reports to be shown and the reasons for not opening a facility that cost more than 6 million euros to be given, the local government will now have to debate it in public. This is thanks to the request for an extraordinary plenary session made by the nine councillors of the Socialist Municipal Group.

According to the socialists, "the reason is that the municipal pool has already been received by the Town Hall, with which its good condition was accepted, and nothing now justifies the delay of almost a year to open its doors. First there were some supposed leaks that nobody explained, then a couple of showers that did not drain properly, but we still do not know the real reason why the local government is not able to open the pool to the residents of Xàbia. In addition, every time we have asked for documentation we have found delays, secrecy and half-truths. For this reason, as the majority group in the City Council, we have decided to force a public debate.
in the form of an extraordinary plenary session."

From the PSOE they remember that "the pool was an unfulfilled commitment with the people of Xàbia by the popular governments since 2007. And it was only with the arrival of Ximo Puig at the head of the Generalitat and, being José Chulvi Mayor, that this important infrastructure could be built."

The socialists affirm that "the serious thing is that while it is not opened and the form of management is not clarified (that the previous government team, with Alberto Tur in charge of Sports, left prepared), the months and the guarantee of the work run by, the neighbors do not enjoy it and the facilities deteriorate due to lack of use.

How great, Chulvi! The one who didn't get any work done, including this one, is now giving lessons! Boy, the closest you came to making a swimming pool was with the auditorium!

    Works that blew him up:
    -The institute.
    -Second Montañar.
    -Triana.
    -Thiviers (still there).
    -Audience.
    -Pool.

I don't know whether to include the toxic fire at the landfill as a major work, which was there for months poisoning neighbours until it was in the press and stopped being a fire "impossible to put out". Or the sewerage system dumping shit into the sea.

Why do we need a swimming pool if we have bars and restaurants? If now the clubs are starting to receive money for their private drinking parties, if we have to spend money on creating political propaganda sponsored by the town hall of Jávea and its traitorous mayor about the dialect known as Valencian (although children actually learn Catalan in schools), why are we going to spend money on cleaning the city or free sports facilities and parks in the city?
Beach… Jávea is nothing but alcohol and food.

Party, party, party… that's what they like and noise, noise, noise, whether you like it or not, you have to put up with it because the rabble rules. Congratulations to the local councils that have been there until now. A disgrace.
