The residents of Avenida Príncipe de Asturias have presented to the Town hall of Jávea a project for participatory budgets, specifically they propose that the wall be eliminated as well as the unevenness between the sidewalk and the road. The residents assure that these elements, in addition to endangering pedestrians, eliminate parking spaces for vehicles and for residents of the area.
The neighbors already opposed the project years ago when they decided to expose the old walls of Jávea and now ask the current government that a part of the participatory budgets are destined to eliminate the architectural remains.
On the other hand, some of the merchants are not completely in agreement with the presentation of this project since they are not willing to support the closure of the avenue for some works that they already suffered in their days and that harmed the economy of their shops .
