The PP of Xàbia proposes to temporarily enable the pub and disco license to the cafeteria

21 October 2020 - 12: 20

Rosa Cardona, spokesperson for Populares Xàbia, has met with local businessmen who are dedicated to the activity of cocktail bars, pubs and discos, in order to collect first-hand the testimony about the difficult situation they are going through due to the closure absolute of their business.

The purpose is to look for alternatives to avoid the definitive closure of its establishments and the serious consequences that derive from the people and families who base their economic support on this activity, jobs, as well as the rest of the service sector that indirectly also depend on them, a circumstance that has occurred due to the suspension of nightlife activity in pubs, discos and karaoke bars through the Resolution of August 17, 2020, of the Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health and its successive extensions .

From Populares Xàbia it has been proposed that while the restrictions due to the emergency of COVID-19 are maintained, it would be viable to exceptionally and temporarily enable the licenses they have granted for their activities and that these are compatible with the cafeteria license, which is allowed; as it has been carried out
in other towns in the province of Alicante and Valencia, thus reducing the increase in illegal parties and bottles that have proliferated since the closure of leisure venues.

The viability of enabling these licenses to cafeteria licenses is due to the similarity of both activities, because it is unnecessary to make significant changes to the facilities and because of the duty to assume the condition that business premises, until now dedicated to pubs and discos, comply with the hours and capacity of the cafeterias, do not provide food service, the dance floors are eliminated and scrupulous compliance with the
current sanitary measures, as well as all the conditions of cafeteria licenses.

The Popular Party will carry this proposal forward to the rest of the corporation through a motion so that it has the support of all political parties in the next plenary session, and it is agreed to temporarily enable the pub and disco license to the cafeteria license, as well as that the adaptation to the new activity is obtained by the Javea Town Hall Through a responsible declaration in accordance with the Public Entertainment Law and a certificate from a competent technician in which it is indicated that the establishment complies with the applicable regulations.

As indicated by the PP, "The affected sector needs protection in the face of this difficult situation, so they have given their unanimous commitment and absolute compliance, since this would be the only solution they have left to be able to work after the prohibition since August, and to be able to face the rental expenses, garbage tax, supplies, insurance and avoiding dismissal of workers; expenses that continue to be generated despite having the activity suspended ".

Sounds good to me, they also have the right to work. I am the owner of a restaurant bar in Javea and the consequences of the political pandemic are the ones who are suffering the most.
We are talking about the right to work, and without it, we are mere slaves of the system.
THANKS PP FROM XABIA FOR TRYING TO HELP.

THOSE WHO CRITICIZE IT IS NOTICED THAT THEY HAVE NOT TOUCHED THE SUSTAINABILITY OF YOUR FAMILIES AND HAVE NOT CONDEMNED YOU TO EMBARGO AND RUIN, PANDA OF SOUL REDNESS!

Let's see, these girls and boys from the PP of Xàbia do not know that the problem is not of schedules but of the lack of control in this type of premises. We have reached one million infected, a little respect for those who die daily from COVID even though the media have orders not to publicize the issue.

  3. Marcial says:

I imagine that those of us who have a cafeteria will then let us open as Pubs, right?

Or is this only going one way?

I'm afraid that if they make that law I will run out of enough clients, what can I do?

Do I ask the Mayor for a payment? I don't think he'll give it to me, I'm not a People's ball, I'm not a socialist ... come on, I'm really screwed up, right?
