The Popular Party of Xàbia has transmitted, through a statement, its concern about the problems generated by the new Tourism Law in the municipality of Xàbia, after the local government team convened, "after one year without realizing", the Consell Consultiu de Urbanisme y Medio Ambiente last Thursday.
From the PP manifest that the solution taken by the first mayor, José Chulvi, "is incomplete". According to the popular ones, the modification of the General Plan proposed by Chulvi leaves half of the municipal area outside the tourist rental, "because the modification will be punctual, only on urban land, it will not give use to all Xàbia and will thus leave the areas of Tarraula, Covatelles, Valls, Catarroges, Bevenguts, Cansalades, Rebaldí, Morers, La Plana, etc outside of being able to rent their houses ".
The Popular Party xabiero regrets that the Chulvi government has only taken a part of the two proposals that had been raised since the formation of the right, "allowing the problem to persist and continue to harm the tourism and economic sector of our town and our citizens", concluded from the PP.
